Three Years Teacher Training Course
Total 900 hours
This course is direct, concise, intens and practical, focussing the attention of the students in a daily yoga practice and life style, in such a way that the students will be able to teach with profound knowledge of the subject.
There are some fundamental elements that are essencial to the practice of what we call Vijnana Yoga:
- Meditation
- The vital principles in the practice of pranayama's and asana's
- The study pf texts
- Kriyas and vayus
Meditation
The meditation is one of the fundamental pillars in all yoga systems. Meditation is essencial not only to ensure the fine tuning of the mind during the practice of pranayama's, asana's, but also in daily life.
Vital Principles
They are: the harmony and alignment of the body; the mind aware of the body and the surrounding; the concentration in delicate movements and in syncrony with the breath; the connection to the ground and to the space around. In this way the movements will continue for long periods of time and the mind will always be in union with the body.
Study
This is the study of classical texts related to yoga. Some of these texts were written centuries ago. The authours were yogi's themselves. This study broadens and deepens our understanding, giving another dimension to our practice.
Kriyas and Vayus
The practice of kriyas and vayus we gradually gain control over the more classical forms of pranayama. For the practice of the vayus, as we do it today, we thank Orit Sen-Gupta for her many years of compilation and study.
